Nabaztag (Violet. Nabaztag. http://www.nabaztag.com) connects to the internet via Wi-Fi and through sound, light and movement can provide its owner with different Web Services, it can be programmed to read RSS feeds, e-mails and text messages out loud. Owners set preferences for which items they'd like read. The rabbit can also play MP3s, voicemail messages, and Nabcastspodcasts recorded by members of the Nabaztag community.

Weather Patterns (Gmachl, M. and Wingfield R., Weather Patterns. http://loop.ph/bin/view/Loop/WeatherPatterns) is a permanent light installation for York Art Gallery, which communicates changes in weather conditions outside the gallery.

The Ambient Orb (http://www.ambientdevices.com/cat/orb/orborder.html) changes colour to present information relevant to the user such as share prices and the weather.

Hello.Wall. displays information about social spaces via light patterns. As an integral part of the physical environment, Hello.Wall constitutes a seeding element of a social architectural space conveying awareness information and atmospheres in organizations or in specific places. Hello.Wall. interactions among the different components are supported by two independent RFID systems and a wireless LAN network to enable a coherent and engaging interaction experience (Prante, T., Stenzel, R., Röcker, C., Streitz, N., and Magerkurth, C.
